Day 1 – A Partridge in a Pear Tree

We see Jesus, as the partridge and the gardener of His own Tree of Life, bidding the poor and children to come under His wing and receive life… 

Matthew 19:14  “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” 

Luke 7:22  “…the poor have good news preached to them…” 

John 20:15 “Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” Supposing him to be the gardener, she said to him, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away.” 

Ezekiel 47:12, Revelations 22:2 “…through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.“

Matthew 23:37 “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the city that kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to it! How often would I have gathered your children together as a hen gathers her brood under her wings, and you were not willing.“
