Day 5 – Five Golden Rings

In this painting, the five golden rings represent the Pentateuch, which is the first five books in the Old Testament.

I wanted to emphasize the value and beauty of blood. While that may sound strange, it was one of the most powerful things that stood out to me after reading through these books. It connects the sacrifices in the Old Testament with Christ’s sacrifice in the New Testament, simply because blood is extremely precious in God’s sight.

Leviticus 17:11 says, For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by the life.

Praise God, who not only provided the means to cover sin in the OT, but also provided the blood of His own son for you and me.

How beautiful is His blood.

Amen! I love that you showed the blood alive and flowing through an artery. His sacrifice covers us now and forever!
