The Legend of the Poinsettia
The story is told of a young child who could not bring a gift to the manger. So she gathered what weeds she could find along the way. When she arrived at the manger, the leaves transformed into a beautiful flower. It is similar to the miracle of the multiplication of the breads when the young boy gives his lunch of fish and loaves. Jesus upon receiving such a kind gift, gives thanks to God and multiplies the lunch to feed 5000 men and has 12 baskets left over.
